Luke Humphrey

 

 

Luke Humphrey has been a member of the Hanson's Brooks-Distance Project since 2004. As a professional runner who specializes in the marathon, Luke has finished in the top 15 in the Boston (11th place,2006), New York City (11th place, 2009) and Chicago Marathons (12th place, 2010). He has a personal best of 2:14 rn the marathon and has qualified for three Olympic Trials at that distance.

Besides being an elite long distance runner, Luke is an author, certified exercise physiologist (M.S. from Oakland University) and owner of Hanson's Coaching Services. He has written two authoritative books on long distance running: "Hansons Marathon Method: A Renegade Path to Your Fastest Marathon" and "Hansons Half-Marathon Method: Run Your Best Half-Marathon the Hanson Way", both published by Competitor Group/Velopress.

Zachary Hine

 

 

Zach Hine is a professional long distance runner who trains at altitude under coach Brad Hudson of Hudson Training Systems in Boulder, Colorado. A graduate of Cornell University, Zach was a two-time indoor Ivy League Champion at 5,000 meters and Ivy League 10,000 meter outdoor Champion. He has personal bests of 13:51 in the 5K, 28:37 in the 10,000 meters, and 1:03:54 in the Half-Marathon. He was the second American (after Ryan Hall) in the 2011 Boston Marathon. His marathon PR of 2:16:40 came at the 2012 USA Olympic Trials in Houston, Texas.

Tim Young

 

 

Tim Young of Fredericksburg, Virginia is a 1:04 half-marathoner and three time winner and course record holder of the Marine Corps Historic Half Marathon in Washington, D.C. He was also the 2011 champion of the Disney Half-Marathon, setting a new course record. A graduate of James Madison University and former member of the Hanson's Brooks-Distance Project. He was 2nd American at the 2014 Houston Marathon in a PR of 2:15:14 and finished 5th in the 2014 US 10 Mile Championship with a time of 47:45.  Tim placed second in 2013's Raleigh Relays 10,000m race, setting a new personal record at that distance of 29:21.

Weldon Kirui

 

 

Weldon Kirui of Kenya has a 2:09:06 PR at the marathon distance and is the 2013 champion of the California International Marathon in Sacramento. He finished 2nd in the Los Angeles Marathon in 2012 and was the 4th place finisher in 2013. Weldon won the Kass Marathon (Kenya national championship) in 2012 and was the winner of both the AFC San Diego Half Marathon in 2011 and the Krems Half Marathon in Austria where he set his half marathon personal best of 61:10.

Jonathan Peterson

 

 

Jon Peterson is a member of Team USA Minnesota where he trains under the highly-regarded Dennis Barker. He is graduate of the University of California, Davis where he was a cross-country All-American and captain of both the track & cross-country teams. He still holds the Aggiesí school records in the 5,000 and 10,000m. Jon is a two-time winner of the Medtronic 10 Mile road race and last year finished 8th in the 5,000m U.S. Track & Field Championships in Sacramento and 5th at the U.S. 7 Mile Championships in Davenport, IA. He has personal bests of 4:00:54 in the mile, 13:39:51 at 5000m, and 48:06 at 10 miles. In 2013, Jon represented Team USA at the Cross-Country Team Championships in Edinburgh, Scotland. This year the Road Runner Club of America (RRCA) named Jon a "Roads Scholar," an award granted to American post-collegiate runners who show great promise to develop into national and world-class road running athletes.
