Tyler Jerman is a member of Team USA Minnesota and a true long distance specialist. A graduate of Iowa State University and only 26 years old, he already has raced in 12 marathons, including the US Olympic Marathon Trials in Los Angeles in 2016. He has a number of top finishes in the marathon, including 10th at Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth, Minnesota twice (2016, 2017), 3rd and 4th at the Pittsburgh Marathon (2016, 2017), and 7th and 9th in the Chevron Houston Marathon (2018, 2019). In 2017, he was the winner of the USA 50K Championship, setting a record on the Long Island, New York course in his first ultra race. Tyler’s breakthrough race in the marathon was at this year’s Houston where he ran 2:13:29, a personal best by over 3 minutes. In June, Tyler set yet another personal best when he finished 4th in the Garry Bjorkland Half Marathon in a time of 1:03:31. Tyler is married to Team USA Minnesota teammate (and ERM athlete) Katy (Moen) Jermann and is coached by Chris Lundstrom.
