Jonathan Peterson is a member of Team USA Minnesota in Minneapolis where he trains under head coach Chris Lundstrom. A California native, Jon is a graduate of the University of California, Davis where he was a cross-country All-American and captain of both the track and cross-country teams. He still holds  Aggie school records in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters. Jon has a number of racing successes to his credit, including being a two-time champion of the Medtronic 10 Mile Road Race, placing 8th in the U.S. Track & Field 5,000 meter championships in Sacramento, CA, and a 5th place finish at the U.S. 7 Mile Championships in Davenport, IA (Bix Road Race). He has personal bests of 64:26 in the half marathon, 48:06 for 10 miles, 13:33.17 at 500 meters, and 4:00.41 in the mile. Jon was also a Team USA member at the World Cross-Country Team Championships in Edinburgh, Scotland. In 2014, the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) named Jon a “Roads Scholar” which is awarded to American post-collegiate athletes who show great promise to develop into national and world-class road runners.
